A new era marks for the Euromedica Group the completion of the first cycle of the consolidation process, with the start of operation of the new company Euromedica SA. Provision of Medical Services.
The new company, to which the assets and liabilities of Euromedica are transferred, was established in the framework of the consolidation agreement with founding shareholders Farallon and Piraeus Bank.
The Board of Directors of the new Euromedica includes Mr. Takis Doumanoglou, President and CEO and as members Mr. Philipp Theodor Strepp, Mr. Ioannis Vogiatzis, Mr. Cyrille Yann Nicolas Petit and Mr. Alexios Komninos.
“Our goal is for Euromedica to be a pioneer in the field of providing Primary and Secondary Health services in our country,” said the President and CEO of the group, Mr. Takis Doumanoglou, emphasizing that the corporate transformation seals the end of a difficult period and opens the way for the Group’s new era, in implementation of the business plan provided by the consolidation agreement. “Even in the most difficult phases of this journey, the Euromedica Group with the support of Farallon, initially as its main creditor and today as the main shareholder, did not stop the investments for the renewal and reopening of medical units, the upgrade of the medical technology equipment and building infrastructure or the recruitment of medical and nursing staff. Today, our investment program, amounting to approximately € 50 million, continues at a strong pace. The aim is to bring Euromedica to the forefront, through the expansion, the constant renewal of the equipment, the adoption of new technologies and the enrichment of its executive and scientific potential, doctors, nurses and administrative staff, in order to continuously ensure the provision of high quality health services to the whole society. Along with ensuring a technologically advanced and safe environment for all those who work, visit or are hospitalized in our facilities, emphasis will be placed on the development of research in the fields of diagnosis and treatment. The transition to the new era would not have become a reality without the assistance and effort of the employees and associate doctors of the Group, whom I would like to personally thank, one by one, for their contribution and invite them to continue together in our new and new course. The corporate change does not change the Group’s relations with its suppliers, employees and associates “, stressed Mr. Doumanoglou.
The way for the establishment of the new company was opened in May 2021 with a decision of the Athens’ Multi-Member Court of First Instance, which approved the consolidation plan of the Group. The implementation of this plan includes a series of procedures, which were approved by the recent general meeting of shareholders.
