Every year, on September 29, the world unites to celebrate World Heart Day. This initiative was launched in 1999 by the World Heart Federation with the support of the World Health Organization, and today it stands as the largest awareness campaign for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
Why is it important?
Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death worldwide, claiming the lives of more than 20 million people every year. What is most concerning is that a large proportion of these losses could have been prevented through prevention, early diagnosis, and lifestyle changes.
What can we do in practice?
Protecting the heart starts with small, everyday changes:
- Adopting a healthy diet with less salt, sugar, and saturated fats.
- Engaging in at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day.
- Quitting smoking and limiting alcohol consumption.
- Regular preventive medical check-ups for blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
- Managing stress by maintaining balance in daily life.
The 2025 message: “Don’t Miss a Beat”
This year’s World Heart Day campaign slogan is “Don’t Miss a Beat.” Its aim is to remind everyone of the importance of prevention, regular heart care, and to highlight the need for equal access to healthcare services for all.
The heart at the center of prevention and care
At Euromedica Group, through our 21 modern diagnostic centers and polyclinics, we promote and encourage prevention by providing high-quality primary healthcare services and performing daily examinations related to proper heart function, such as:

- Exercise Stress Test
- Stress Echo
- Cardiac CT Scan
- Coronary CT Angiography
- Cardiac MRI
- Cardiology Consultation
At the same time, we offer special privileged packages for preventive cardiological check-ups as part of our Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
World Heart Day is a reminder that our heart is not just an organ—it is the center of our life. Let us protect it through our choices and contribute to a world where everyone has the chance to “Don’t miss a beat.”
