Father ‘sDay , celebrated this year on Sunday 16 June, is in honour of the father, paternal ties and generally the influence of fathers in society. It has been celebrated since 1908 , starting in the USA, and is in fact a celebration that aims to show that the role of the father is just as important as that of the mother since too often in our society fathers take a back seat .
