International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on 8 March. It was first established in 1975 by a resolution of the UN General Assembly to highlight women’s issues and promote women’s rights. This year, the day is titled #InspireInclusion, aiming to communicate the value of including women in all walks of life and being non-discriminatory. Accordingly, women are inspired to be included and a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment is fostered.
