Euromedica has opened a state-of-the-art diagnostic centre in Kifissia, in implementation of the investment plan it is implementing for the complete upgrade, technological and building, of all its units.
It is a unit with state-of-the-art medical equipment, with branded imaging equipment from the leading international companies of the industry, installed in a specially designed space, which has been completely renovated, incorporating the latest trends, both for the functionality of the center and for the comfortable and hospitable stay of patients and employees.
Euromedica Kifissia has the unique Philips Panorama Open MRI scanner, which is ideal for people with claustrophobia, as due to its open design, the patient may avoid anesthesia, which would be mandatory in closed-type magnets. The open MRI scanner is suitable for children, not only because of its greater comfort but also because it has a unique 360-degree viewing angle, which ensures eye contact with the parent. The strength of the magnetic field makes the machine suitable for examinations of key vital organs such as the brain and the upper and lower abdomen, giving high image quality compared to most open-type MRI systems.
The diagnostic center has a complete imaging department, as apart from the MRI scanner, it has a CT scanner, ultrasound scanners, digital mammography, digital radiology and DEXA for bone density measurement. Euromedica Kifissia also has a full cardiology department with the possibility of electrocardiography, fatigue testing, heart triplex, as well as rhythm and pressure holter placement.
In the unit, which is contracted with EOPPY and other public funds, all biopathology tests, check-ups and molecular biology tests, including coronavirus detection tests, are carried out.
