New Screening for Renal Dysfunction – National Prevention Program PROLAMVANO

The Euromedica Group participates in the National Prevention Program for Cardiovascular Diseases and offers free medical examinations within the framework of the Ministry of Health program “PROLAMVANO.”

Eligible Beneficiaries for the Free Cardiovascular Screening

Eligible beneficiaries include men and women aged 30–70 years who have an AMKA (Social Security Number), regardless of insurance coverage, as well as their children, where applicable, based on test results.

Examinations Included in the Screening

  • High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-C)
  • Triglycerides (TGs)

New Examinations Added to the Program

For individuals with a history of arterial hypertension or diabetes mellitus, additional free tests for renal dysfunction screening are included, as renal function is directly related to cardiovascular risk.

These tests apply to beneficiaries aged 30–70 years and, under specific conditions, to children aged 0–29 years.

The additional tests include:

  • eGFR: Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (serum creatinine calculation)
  • uACR: Urinary Albumin-to-Creatinine Ratio
(includes urine creatinine and urine microalbumin)

After completing the blood tests, you may schedule your next appointment for medical evaluation.

Participation Process

Participation in the program includes the following steps:

  • Receipt of an informational SMS and electronic referral via the paperless prescription system
  • Blood tests at Euromedica diagnostic centers without appointment
  • Medical examination by a Cardiologist, General Practitioner, or Internist, by appointment and based on test results
  • Cardiological evaluation for the presence or absence of coronary artery disease, by appointment
  • Ischemia testing with Stress Echo / Contrast Echo or Myocardial Scintigraphy, by appointment

Home Blood Sampling

Blood tests can also be performed at the examinee’s home through the Home Blood Sampling service, with a small fee per visit, regardless of the number of individuals.

Importance of Preventive Screening

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide.
At the same time, Chronic Kidney Disease affects a significant portion of the population, with many patients remaining undiagnosed in the early stages.
Early diagnosis plays a crucial role in prevention and in improving quality of life.
