International Self-Care Day – Take Care of Yourself

Every year on July 24th, the world celebrates International Self-Care Day, a powerful reminder that our health and well-being largely depend on ourselves. The date was not chosen at random; it symbolizes the need for self-care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

International Self-Care Day was established in 2011 by the International Self-Care Foundation (ISF) to promote self-care as a fundamental pillar of public health. Since then, it has gained international recognition, with the World Health Organization incorporating self-care into its health promotion strategies.

Self-care is the active and conscious care of ourselves—both physically and mentally. It includes all actions we take to maintain and improve our health: healthy nutrition, exercise, adequate sleep, stress management, disease prevention, and psychological resilience. In an era of speed, digital fatigue, and rising demands, self-care is not a luxury—it is a necessity. The benefits are numerous:

  • • Improved physical and mental health
    • Prevention of chronic diseases
    • Enhanced productivity and concentration
    • Reduced stress and emotional exhaustion
    • Development of self-awareness and stronger self-image

International Self-Care Day is not just a yearly celebration—it is a call to daily action. It reminds us that in order to care for others, we must first care for ourselves. Self-care is not selfish; it is the most loving and responsible gift we can give ourselves.

On the occasion of this day, Euromedica Group is offering its Basic Preventive Check-up Package at a special discounted rate. Take advantage of this offer and give yourself the best gift! The offer is valid from July 21st to August 21st, 2025, at all Euromedica diagnostic centers across Greece.
