Euromedica’s new era marked by the opening of the Chalandri Egkefalos Center

After a total renovation of the building and the installation of new, modern medical equipment , the inauguration of the Euromedica Group’s diagnostic centre “Encephalus Halandriou” took place on Thursday 22 September, in the presence of the Secretary General of Health Services of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Ioannis Kotsiopoulos, the Director of EOPYY Ms. Theano Karpodini, the leadership of the Group, administrative staff, doctors and partners.

The centre, which has joined GE Healthcare’s global network of Imaging Technology Reference Centres, offers comprehensive and innovative primary healthcare services in a modern environment, reflecting the new corporate identity of the Euromedica Group.

Euromedica Encephalonos diagnostic center in Halandri utilizes AI-based technologies through its advanced equipment, such as the 3.0T SIGNA™ Premier AIR™ MRI scanner, which has been installed for the first time in Greece and SE Europe, as well as the first Revolution APEX 512-slice CT system. Staffed with qualified and distinguished physicians, experienced nursing and paramedical staff, the center offers high quality service at all levels, from the scheduling of appointments , the quality of examinations to the receipt of results.

The President and CEO of Euromedica Group Mr. Takis Doumanoglou said:

“Today we inaugurate one of the largest and most technologically advanced diagnostic centres in Greece, which marks the new era of the Euromedica Group. Through a €50 million investment programme, new diagnostic centres are being opened and all the old ones, as well as the Group’s clinics, are being renovated and equipped with modern medical equipment. The “Encephalon”, the centre that had made history in previous decades, has been operating in recent months, completely renewed, as a Centre of Excellence, integrated into the global reference network of GE Healthcare.

Οι κλινικές και τα διαγνωστικά κέντρα της Euromedica στελεχώνονται από έμπειρο ιατρικό, νοσηλευτικό και παραϊατρικό προσωπικό με στόχο την βέλτιστη εξυπηρέτηση των πολιτών. In the same context, the Group’s Director of Primary Health Care, Ms Christina Kapsalaki, noted that “Encephalos Halandri was the first diagnostic center in Greece to install a CT scanner, its name was associated with the pioneer and today it is again recommended to the public as perhaps the most advanced diagnostic center in the country. The plan all along was to put the “Brain” well and truly on the diagnostic map. And the truth is that the result exceeded our expectations. It’s impressive to see the transformation of the building but at the same time to know that the equipment available is also unique.

Apart from Encephalon Halandri, Euromedica Group operates six additional centres in Attica, in Galatzi, Kifissia, Agia Paraskevi, Peristeri, Nikaia and Keratsini, while two more will soon be opened in Elliniko and Paleo Faliro.
