Digital Panoramic Radiography is the most useful examination in dental practice. It is an X-ray that depicts all teeth and jaw bones, the sinuses, the nasal cavity and cervical tissues with excellent clarity. It is used to diagnose dental problems, enabling the doctor to have a complete check of the teeth in one image in order to evaluate any problems and prescribe the appropriate treatment. In addition, past dental issues that have been treated, such as debridements and fillings, are also illustrated.
Cephalometric Digital Radiography is a digital radiography that images the head in a special oblique position in order to assess the distances, structure and position of the bones and soft tissues of the skull.
The test is performed in a standing position, the examinees bite a plastic component for a few seconds and the machine (arm – lamp) makes a complete rotation around their head. The duration of the test is a few seconds and the subject must remain stable in the position indicated by the technologist. With the special equipment available at Euromedica, “one shot” technology is used in order to carry out the examination in a minimum of time and to minimize the possibility of repeating the examination.
