In the Euromedica group, from the first moment of the pandemic, all the necessary protection measures have been taken against the spread of the coronavirus, for the staff and the examinees / patients. In the context of health protection, the following apply to all Euromedica units:
- It is necessary for the examinee / patient / visitor to wear a face mask. Our units can provide a face mask, in case the patient does not have one.
- Escorts are prohibited from entering the premises of the medical units, except in cases where their presence is absolutely necessary and not more than one.
- Availability of a sufficient number of antiseptics in all areas of the units, especially at the entrances and in the waiting and examination rooms.
- Constant and adequate ventilation of workplaces and patient / examinee areas.
- Frequent cleaning and disinfection of surfaces and equipment that come into contact with the patient, before and after contact with the patient.
- Cleaning the inanimate environment (waiting rooms, chairs, knobs, elevator control), using a special disinfectant, with a frequency depending on the use of the premises and not less than once every two hours.
- The results of the examinations are sent by digital means in order to avoid unnecessary movements and contacts.
- There is continuous ventilation and intensive cleaning of the premises, disinfection of all equipment, while all employees are supplied with personal protection equipment.
- Continuation of the temperature reading of the visitors at the entrance and in cases with a temperature higher than 37 °C the examinations are not carried out, while the examinees are referred to contact their clinician.
- Adherence to hand hygiene instructions. Hand washing and application of antiseptic before and after each contact with patients.
In all units of the group (diagnostic centers and clinics) all coronavirus detection tests are performed, with certified reagents (CE – IVD) and in particular:
- PCR Test
- Rapid Test
- Antibody test (IgG & ΙgM) (blood collection)
- Qualitative detection and quantification of specific IgG antibodies (& neutralizers) – blood sampling for the identification and quantification of the body’s immune response, after vaccination or natural infection
