It is estimated that approximately <strong>16.7% of the global population <\/strong>suffers from iron deficiency (or more specifically, dietary iron deficiency).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iron is an essential trace element necessary for the proper functioning of the body, as it is involved in the synthesis of hemoglobin, the protein responsible for carrying oxygen in the blood. When iron stores are low, the body cannot produce enough red blood cells, resulting in <strong>iron deficiency<\/strong> and, in more advanced cases, <strong>iron deficiency anemia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-ed19496c\"><h4 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><strong>What Are the Most Common Symptoms?<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Iron deficiency often develops silently, without obvious symptoms in the early stages.
