It is a global health challenge, with millions of people living with the disease\u2014often without even knowing it. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), about 1 in 2 adults with diabetes are unaware of their condition, meaning that 50% of people with diabetes remain undiagnosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-92b48f3e\"><h4 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><strong>What Causes Diabetes<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Glucose is the primary \u201cfuel\u201d for our cells. However, for it to enter the cells, it needs the help of insulin\u2014a hormone produced by the pancreas.
