Heatstroke is one of the most serious forms of heat-related illness and may become life-threatening if not treated promptly. It is more common during the summer months and primarily affects vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, children, and people with chronic illnesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heatstroke occurs when the body is unable to sufficiently release heat, leading to an increase in internal body temperature (above 39\u00b0C\/102.2\u00b0F).     • Dress in light-colored<\/strong>, loose-fitting clothing<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Stay in shaded<\/strong> or cool environments<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Pay special attention to vulnerable groups<\/strong> (elderly, heart patients, children)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Treatment \u2013 What to Do in Case of Heatstroke<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Heatstroke is a medical emergency <\/strong>and requires immediate action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you suspect someone is experiencing heatstroke:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Remove the person from direct sunlight<\/strong> and move them to a cool place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Remove excess clothing<\/strong> and cool the body using water or wet towels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Offer fluids <\/strong>if the person is conscious and able to swallow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. If there is loss of consciousness, call emergency services immediately (dial 166 in Greece)<\/strong> and provide first aid until medical help arrives.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
