The Euromedica<\/strong> Group participated in \u03a4he Intracranial Glioma Workshop: From A to Z<\/strong>, which was held successfully from May 21 to 24, 2025, in Athens, at the Royal Olympic Hotel. The conference was accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event aimed to present the latest in the diagnosis and management of patients with intracranial gliomas, covering all aspects of gliomas\u2014from genetic analysis and profiling to the most advanced surgical resection techniques, as well as long-term monitoring and patient support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference featured an impressive multinational scientific panel that included leading experts in the field of neuro-oncology. This ensured that participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all the latest imaging and surgical techniques used for the most effective and safest treatment of patients with intracranial gliomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendees were exposed to all diagnostic methods, up-to-date surgical strategies, and the latest protocols for adjuvant therapies, thanks to a well-balanced combination of live presentations, stimulating discussions, highly educational video sessions, and hands-on practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chair of the Organizing Committee and Keynote Speaker of the conference was Professor Efi Kapsalaki, Professor of Radiology at the University of Thessaly and Scientific Director of the MRI Department<\/strong> at the Euromedica Egkefalos Chalandriou Diagnostic Center<\/strong>. Professor Kapsalaki gave a highly engaging presentation on the use of conventional MRI in the initial diagnosis of intracranial gliomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another keynote speaker was Dr. Efstathios D. Gkotsis, Ph.D., Clinical MRI Physicist <\/strong>and Euromedica collaborator, who spoke about magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MR spectroscopy), a technique that allows the analysis of tissue chemical composition through MRI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the third day of the conference, a particularly interesting workshop was held, featuring both Professor Kapsalaki<\/strong> and Dr. Gkotsis<\/strong>. The session focused on the practical application of advanced medical imaging processing techniques and included an in-depth discussion of a variety of interesting case studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That same day, another keynote speaker and Euromedica<\/strong> associate, Dr. Ioannis Ioannidis<\/strong>, Medical Physicist<\/strong>, presented on chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST). This is an MRI technique that enables the indirect detection of metabolites via exchangeable protons. It is used to image compounds at concentrations too low to be detected using conventional MRI techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euromedica <\/strong>Group\u2019s participation in major medical conferences such as this one highlights its ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, research, and specialization, contributing to the advancement of healthcare in Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
