EUROMEDICA

The diagnostic center Egkefalos Rethimno started operating in 1992 near the center of the city of Rethimno (in Koumoundourou Street) with two laboratories for  CT and Ultrasound of body organs. In 1993 the diagnostic laboratory moved to the city center, at 4 Dimokratias Street (where it is located to this day), where it operated with additional laboratories (Microbiology and classical radiology department). In 1994, in the diagnostic center’s laboratories a Mammography device and Bone Density Measurement were added, while in 2000 the Diagnostic Laboratory Egkephalos Rethimno joined the Euromedica network.

In 2008 Euromedica – Egkephalos Rethimno opened an MRI laboratory in addition to the other laboratories already operating. Today the Diagnostic Center is staffed with laboratory and clinical physicians who are highly qualified and well-established, while it has a constant cooperation with specialized physicians of all specialties, serving approximately 23,500 patients per year.

The center is contracted with Greek National Health Service Organization and all public insurance organizations. Applies a quality system certified according to ISO 9001:2015.
